The Hiap Joo Bakery has been in business for more than eight years and still makes use of traditional wooden fire oven for the baking purpose. The excellent taste and flavor of the buns make them a highly popular choice for the locals as well as the tourists. Different types of buns are available at the place which include cheese buns, otah buns, curry potato buns, red bean buns, kaya buns, coconut buns and not to forget their specialty, the banana cake. Bakery is made available from 12pm and it is always a good idea to visit the place early before the stock finishes.
